Privacy policy.

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password hash. Passwords themselves are never stored — we keep only a one-way hash generated by our authentication provider.

While you use the terminal, we collect technical telemetry: the categories you subscribe to, your voice and notification preferences, the routes you visit, and standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps). This is the minimum needed to deliver the feed and keep the service running.

We do not collect financial data, brokerage credentials, position information, or personally identifiable information beyond what you supply at sign-up.

Account information is used to authenticate you, gate access to the protected feed, and contact you about service-affecting events (security notices, billing if you ever upgrade, account recovery).

Usage telemetry is used to operate the platform: route delivery, scale our infrastructure, debug failures, and improve the product. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics — for example, how many users subscribe to a given category — to make product decisions or talk publicly about the platform's growth.

We use first-party cookies for authentication and to remember your terminal preferences across sessions. These are strictly necessary for the product to work.

We use Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the product is used in aggregate. These tools may set their own cookies and collect anonymized session information per their respective privacy policies. You can block them via your browser's privacy controls without losing access to the feed.

We rely on a small set of infrastructure providers to operate the service: Cloudflare (hosting and edge delivery), our PostgreSQL provider (data storage), Resend (transactional email), and our authentication provider. These vendors process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments.

News content displayed on the platform is sourced from public wires, RSS feeds, and licensed APIs. We do not share your account information with any of these news sources.

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within thirty days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records).

Server logs and telemetry are retained for up to ninety days for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymized.

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@tradenewscast.com from the address tied to your account and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA — including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. The rights above apply to everyone, regardless of jurisdiction.

We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest for our managed databases, and scoped access controls for the small team that operates the service. We are not a bank, but we treat the credentials you give us with the same seriousness.

If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to security@tradenewscast.com. We will not pursue legal action against good-faith researchers who follow responsible disclosure.

TradeNewsCast is intended for adults engaged in financial markets. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact privacy@tradenewscast.com and we will delete the account.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify active users by email at least seven days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
